Ascoli has started their training camp in Norcia, with the team working alongside the two new signings Giacomo De Pieri and Sergiu Perciun, who have arrived from Inter and Torino respectively. The sporting director of the Bianconeri, Matteo Patti, introduced the two reinforcements in an interview with Il Resto del Carlino, highlighting the value of the new arrivals.
“Perciun we have seen play in Serie A, he has 5 appearances for a team like Torino. We did everything to bring him here,” said Patti. About the youngster from Inter, the director added: “De Pieri has a Champions League match with Inter under his belt. That alone is a stamp of their value.”
From a tactical point of view, Patti outlined the possible use of the new signings: “De Pieri will pair with Andrea Silipo on the right, while Perciun can play as a midfielder or central attacking midfielder. The coach will find the right space for him.”
