Paolo Di Canio analyzed Inter‘s journey this season, focusing on a significant episode from last year. The former striker recalled to Sky Sport some statements by Cristian Chivu that particularly struck him.
“Chivu already made me aware last year in the Champions League. In particular, I understood everything when he himself said that they play another sport, he said it especially after the Arsenal match,” said Di Canio. The Nerazzurri team continues to play intense football, capable of putting opponents in difficulty as was also seen in the last match against Udinese.
The former footballer then added: “Chivu says it, he becomes aware of the differences that exist but goes his own way, these are not excuses, he does not look for excuses. There are clear differences, you have to work a lot.” Words that underline the approach of the Nerazzurri coach, aware of the gap between European competitions and the Italian championship.
