This weekend, Lautaro Martinez will already return from Argentina back to Milan, due to an injury he sustained over the past few days. This injury prevented him from participating in matches with his National team during this week’s break from the Serie A championship as well as other European leagues.
As reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, upon his return to Italy, the Inter captain will undergo new medical examinations to fully assess the exact extent of his injury and define a precise rehabilitation plan. This will allow Simone Inzaghi to have his player back in perfect condition.
In fact, Inter intends to avoid rushing Lautaro Martinez back into action prematurely to prevent any risk of recurrence at a crucial point of the season. Nonetheless, the Nerazzurri medical staff aims to have him in peak condition in time for the derby against Milan on April 2nd, which counts as the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.
