Having arrived discreetly last May, Oaktree has decided to maintain a low profile as it enters the world of Inter. The American fund has fully endorsed the management, confirming in its entirety the leadership group that has led the Nerazzurri club to success in recent years.

Full authority has been given to Marotta, who has been promoted to the new president of Inter after bidding farewell to Steven Zhang. In other words, Oaktree understood from the get-go that the club was heading in the right direction and it wouldnt take much to win the fans hearts.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, theres a consistency with the old management, primarily in terms of ambition. One of the three guiding stars set by the fund, in fact, pertains to competitiveness: Oaktree wants to keep Inter as high as possible and expects a back-to-back Scudetto and direct qualification to the Champions League round of 16 without having to go through the playoffs from the first season.

Secondly, continuity will be given to the work of cutting costs and balancing the books: having recorded a loss of 36 million in the last financial year, the goal is to end the next statements in the black something that hasnt happened since the Moratti era.

Finally, thanks to its own provenance, Oaktree will try to open the American market to Inter, possibly through the construction of a new owned stadium. The third goal actually pertains to revenue, which the fund wants to continue to expand year after year.
