One of the Inter players who this season hopes to have more playing time and minutes on the field compared to recent years is certainly Davide Frattesi. The former Sassuolo midfielder, after spending a lot of time on the bench with Simone Inzaghi, hopes to be more central in the new project under coach Cristian Chivu.
It was precisely about Frattesi that the Romanian coach spoke in today’s press conference before the match against Udinese. Chivu explained how he sees his number 16 as a sort of jolly capable of covering multiple positions and being able to play him even in a more advanced role. This is the thought of the former Parma coach:
“For me, Frattesi by nature is a box-to-box midfielder but he can also play behind the striker. When we play with two men behind a striker, he can play there. Since he started as a midfielder, he can also help in the defensive phase. Davide’s role is this, but thanks to his characteristics, he can do well with commitment for our team.”
