One of the protagonists of the new Inter under coach Cristian Chivu in these first three months of the season has been (perhaps a bit surprisingly) Carlos Augusto. The Brazilian defender has shown good things and has demonstrated all his reliability and versatility by playing both as a left midfielder and as a center-back in defense.
As reported this morning by Corriere dello Sport, the club is very satisfied with his performance and wants to keep him in the squad for a long time. For this reason, they are in negotiations with the agent of the former Monza player – Beppe Riso – to reach an agreement on a contract renewal with a salary increase, valid until 2030. Here is the information from the newspaper:
“The goal, therefore, is to reach an agreement with Carlos Augusto, who was a protagonist against Kairat, with the player within the next few weeks. The former Monza player has already given his consent to sign and is ready to commit to the club’s project for more years. On the table is a deal worth about 3 million euros per season until 2030, with the duration and specific details still to be defined.”
