For several weeks now, every Inter match has been filled with refereeing controversies, with fans of opposing teams complaining about incidents favouring the black and blues, even though there are also several controversial incidents disadvantaging Inzaghi’s men.

The latest case is the alleged penalty for handball by Dumfries in the first half of Napoli-Inter. However, to quell the protests, the heads of the refereeing body themselves stepped in. Guesting on OpenVAR, member of the AIA, Mauro Tonolini, explained why it was correct not to award the maximum penalty.
