Today the new season of Inter begins with the first official match that Cristian Chivu‘s Nerazzurri will play at home at San Siro against Torino. However, the transfer market is still open for another week and the club hopes to complete the final operations between arrivals and departures before the final gong.
On his Instagram account, Ivan Zazzaroni spoke about this summer transfer window for Inter, which brought in several young additions such as Bonny, Sucic, Luis Henrique, and Diouf. However, the big signing dreamed of by the fans, like Ademola Lookman or Manu Koné, did not arrive, and the director of CorSport explains:
“A necessary premise, albeit belated: I too understood 100, sales aside. That’s why the purchase of Ademola has become unfeasible today. I’ll try to clarify it bitterly. Oaktree had allocated 100 million for the transfer campaign, part of which was to come from sales. With the arrivals of Luis Henrique, Sucic, Bonny, and Diouf, the spending reached 84. Minus the 40 from sales, 16 remained. I take a breath: just enough money for a youngster. If Diouf (25) hadn’t been signed, Marotta could have had 41 million available, the amount for Lookman or Koné. I’m all sweaty: I hate being an accountant when it comes to fans’ dreams. But that’s how it is.”.
