The possibility of Gigio Donnarumma moving to Inter in the summer of 2026 is becoming increasingly realistic. Following the Italian national team’s goalkeeper’s initial public opening to the Nerazzurri shirt, further clues have emerged, indicating the chance of the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper returning to Milan—this time to Inter—might well be genuine.
As reported this morning by the Corriere della Sera, the current goalkeeper coach Gianluca Spinelli could play a hand in persuading Donnarumma to accept Inter’s proposal. Spinelli, widely considered one of the best in his field, has already worked with the Italian keeper in Paris and is currently helping Sommer maintain a very high standard in the final stages of his career.
The presence of Spinelli on Inter’s technical staff could provide an additional incentive for Donnarumma to move to the Nerazzurri for free in 2026, thereby avoiding forcing a contract extension with the Paris club—an extension that has not yet even been discussed.
