Surprise Stankovic, in Belgium they are certain: “He will stay another year at Bruges”

The future of Aleksandar Stankovic remains shrouded in uncertainty. Not regarding his technical evaluation by Inter, which is absolutely positive. The doubts, instead, concern the possibility of seeing him in Milan during the next season. For some time now, it has been said that the Nerazzurri will undoubtedly exercise the buy-back clause to bring him back to Italy, but not all sources agree.

From Belgium, in fact, a different version is emerging. According to Walfoot, the possibility that Stankovic stays another year at Brugge is not so remote. The Nerazzurri management, writes the Belgian media, has never seriously considered an immediate return of the 2005-born player to Milan, in order to allow him to complete his development. At Inter, in fact, he would inevitably start behind Calhanoglu, while at Club Brugge he is and would remain a regular starter.

This scenario would also fit well with the agreements reached last summer between the two clubs. Inter, in fact, not only has a buy-back clause to exercise this summer, but also another one to use next summer. The two amounts, moreover, are not even that different: 23 million for summer 2026, 25 for summer 2027.
