Aleksander Stankovic will remain at Inter for the next season. The confirmation comes after the statements made by Cristian Chivu during Monday’s press conference, in which the coach spoke highly of the midfielder.

According to international market expert Sacha Tavolieri, the young talent’s stay is linked to the special relationship between Chivu and Stankovic. The Romanian coach has closely followed the growth of his friend Dejan’s son in the Nerazzurri youth teams, a bond that led the club to leave the former Club Brugge player at the coach’s disposal.

The decision to keep Stankovic junior, however, had a direct consequence on the transfer market. In fact, the decision blocked the agreement between Inter and Mandela Keita, the Belgian midfielder from Parma who had been a target of the Romanian coach since his time in Emilia.
