The future of Aleksandar Stankovic remains black and blue. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Dejan’s son has turned down a significant offer from the Premier League.
On a hot early August day, Inter received a formal proposal from Brentford. Forty million euros were put on the table for the Serbian midfielder. The response was clear: both the club and the player, together with his family, declined the offer. All united on the front of ‘no thanks’, reports the newspaper.
The midfielder aims to stay where he is and enjoys unconditional trust. Despite some overcrowding in midfield, the intention is clear. “If other offers come in, they will be listened to – this is the line for any player – but at this stage there is no intention of letting go of the son of art,” adds the newspaper.
Stankovic‘s stay is getting closer, confirmed by the double rejection of a proposal that demonstrates the growing interest in the 2005-born player. The Serbian has chosen to continue his development with the Nerazzurri.
