The deal to bring Solet to the Nerazzurri seemed to be finalized at the start of the transfer window, but the operation then fell through. The Austrian defender had already undergone his medical in Milan, but two factors caused the negotiations to collapse.

According to the Messaggero Veneto, the medical tests did not fully convince the Nerazzurri’s medical staff. Added to this was the wall put up by Udinese, who made financial demands considered excessive by the Milanese directors.

After the failed agreement with the Lombard club, the player’s name was also linked to Juventus and Napoli in the following days. The contract with the Friulian club expires in 2027 and, if he stays, the club will have to consider a renewal with a salary adjustment.
