Inter has changed its position on the negotiations for Cristian Romero after completing the deal for John Stones. Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the situation in a video on his YouTube channel, sharing the latest on the Nerazzurri’s moves in defense.

For the arrival of the Englishman, only the medical examinations and signatures are missing, while for the Argentine, the situation is more complex. The club has kept the dialogue open with Cuti’s agents, but now finds itself in a different position compared to a few days ago. With a center-back already acquired, the Nerazzurri no longer have the same urgency and intend to proceed only under certain financial conditions.

“Inter has signed a defender and, compared to Cuti’s demands, is now in a different position: they’ve got the center-back, so either there is some compromise or the Romero deal remains on hold,” explained Romano.

The transfer expert also clarified the situation regarding Barcelona, who are considering the player but have not finalized anything yet. The Catalans must first sell a defender, and Romero is not the only option on the table. At the moment, there are no guarantees for the player, so the matter remains open for both the Blaugrana and Inter.
