Inter has not given up on the Moussa Diaby track. The Nerazzurri, rejected after a first attempt, are ready for a new offensive for the winger, who is still under strong pressure from Bayer Leverkusen.
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the situation of the French winger and has mentioned another profile that could become relevant again for the Nerazzurri. According to the journalist, at the moment the German club is ahead in the race for the player: “We are waiting to understand what will happen with Bayer Leverkusen. Inter believes that the German club currently has an advantage because they have a basic economic agreement with the player.”
On the Saudi front, Romano explained that there is still no definitive agreement with Al-Ittihad, but the Arab club is showing the possibility of paying more for the transfer fee than Inter, which wanted to include Asllani in the deal. “A comeback would be needed to manage to get Diaby, at the moment Leverkusen is ahead,” added the journalist.
At the same time, Romano pointed out an alternative that could come back into play: “For the winger, I would keep one name in mind, that of Spence. In terms of preference, if Romero does not arrive—and at the moment it seems clear since he has pulled out—Inter’s investment could be directed towards the winger.” According to the journalist, the name of the full-back could resurface if the economic conditions change: “I would not rule out a return of Inter for Spence,” he concluded.
