At Inter, the focus remains high on the defensive market, where the management continues to monitor two profiles above all: that of Tarik Muharemović and that of Oumar Solet.
In today’s edition, Repubblica confirms the two names but reveals what would actually be the real dream of the Nerazzurri fans to strengthen the defense. A Serie A protagonist who, in terms of character and characteristics, recalls a former leader of Inter’s backline.
“For the defense, the Nerazzurri managers are considering Solet from Udinese, who is liked by Chivu, and Muharemović from Sassuolo. But the fans’ dream is Gianluca Mancini, a Materazzi 2.0,” it reads.
At Roma, work is underway on the renewal of number 23, whose contract expires in 2027. As reported by the Giallorossi press, at the beginning of 2026 a contract renewal was expected with a possible extension until 2029 or 2030, also accompanied by a salary adjustment to around 3.5 million euros net, but the Friedkin ownership seems to have decided to temporarily suspend the matter due to the team’s performance.
The permanence of Mancini in the capital is therefore not yet certain, and Inter could remain on the sidelines, closely observing how the situation develops.
