Inter is looking at the market to strengthen the defensive department and, according to Corriere dello Sport, in addition to the well-known name of Chalobah, another option is emerging that is being followed with great interest by the Nerazzurri management.
For three seasons, the Chelsea defender has been linked to the Milan club. Piero Ausilio has identified the Englishman as the right profile in terms of characteristics, but two reinforcements are needed following the departures of Acerbi and De Vrij.
The sports daily indicates that on Viale della Liberazione they are keeping an eye on developments regarding Mancini‘s contract renewal with Roma. The Nerazzurri club’s strategy is to seize a market opportunity to complete the defensive package.
“Beyond Chalobah, the needs in defense are in any case two. So, if the Englishman does indeed arrive, together with him, this summer, another center-back will also pass through the gates of Pinetina. But who? It will certainly be an opportunity. And, in this regard, on Viale Liberazione they are keeping an eye on developments regarding Mancini’s contract renewal with Roma,” reads Corriere dello Sport.
