During the upcoming summer transfer window, two of the main Serie A teams, Inter and Milan, could be forced to find a new starting goalkeeper. The current “number 1s” of the two Milanese clubs, Yann Sommer and Mike Maignan, both have contracts expiring in June 2026.
For both, the issue of renewal is not simple, and in fact the two clubs are monitoring the goalkeeper market very closely. In recent weeks, the name of Elia Caprile from Cagliari had emerged as a possible target for both Milan and Inter, but now a new profile has come up, again from Serie A.
This is Zion Suzuki, goalkeeper for Parma, who is performing well in his second year in the Italian league. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, both Inter and Milan have set their sights on the Japanese player and are considering a possible purchase in the summer of 2026: Chivu also already knows him well, having coached him at Parma.
