Moussa Diaby is the first name for the wing, pressure on Al-Ittihad

The search for a winger remains an absolute priority after the departure of Denzel Dumfries and the failed negotiations for Palestra, who moved to Chelsea, and Khalaili, who did not pass the fitness tests. Inter has identified the ideal profile in Moussa Diaby, the French winger from Al-Ittihad.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the French player represents the perfect solution for Chivu‘s tactical needs. The coach wants a vertical, proactive, and aggressive team, especially in the attacking phase on the flanks. Diaby, a winger who is more offensive than defensive, would guarantee that leap in offensive quality that the coach now considers essential, both in the league and in European competitions.

However, the deal presents obstacles similar to those that emerged during the winter transfer window. In January, the Nerazzurri had obtained the player’s approval, as he was already set to leave the Saudi club, but Al-Ittihad’s resistance caused everything to fall through. Now, negotiating with the Saudis is no easier than it was six or seven months ago.

Inter tried to include a counterpart in the deal, proposing surplus player Asllani, but there seems to be no interest from Jeddah. Further complicating the situation is Bayer Leverkusen, Diaby’s former team, which continues to push and could close the deal at any moment.
