Motta says goodbye to Inter after nine years: farewell message on social media

Inter has sold Matteo Motta to Delfino Pescara 1936 on a permanent basis. The defender, born in 2005, has signed a three-year contract with the Abruzzo club, definitively leaving the Nerazzurri colors after a journey that began when he was just twelve years old.

The young footballer entrusted a long farewell message to social media, recalling the years spent in Inter’s youth sector. “If last year was just a goodbye, accompanied by a new experience on loan (at Lumezzane, ed.), this year the time has come for a definitive farewell. It’s been almost nine years in which you were home. Years full of emotions, sacrifices, smiles, victories, disappointments, and moments that I will always carry with me. Most of them were wonderful memories, but even the most difficult ones helped me grow,” wrote Motta on Instagram.

In his post, the defender wanted to emphasize the importance of the experience at Interello. “You came into my life suddenly, when I was just 12 years old. How can I forget the first time I set foot in Interello? At that moment, I saw the first real step towards the dream I had nurtured since I was a child, which began in a parish playground near my home with a ball at my feet. Over these years you have taught me values that are now part of me: sacrifice, hard work, dedication, and above all, humility. Values that I will always carry with me, on and off the pitch,” added the youngster, thus closing an important chapter of his career.
