Yesterday – Friday, August 1st – the official news arrived regarding Atalanta‘s rejection of Inter‘s new offer for the transfer of Ademola Lookman. The deal is now very complicated for Ausilio and Marotta, who were hoping to close the operation with the Bergamo club and give Chivu a great striker.
On Fabrizio Romano‘s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto explained how it will not be easy for Inter to reach the green light for this transfer market dream due to Atalanta‘s demands. The Percassi family does not consider Lookman unsellable, but wants the fixed part of Inter’s offer to be much higher than the last one presented. These are his words:
“For Atalanta, it is important to have a significant fixed base; the valuation that Atalanta has for Lookman is much higher than Inter’s offer. The Bergamo club does not have an economic valuation agreement with Lookman’s agents; the agreement is only to listen to offers and they will continue to do so. He is not unsellable, but to let him go, the right offer will be needed.”
