The arrival of Curtis Jones at Inter is no longer in question. This has been confirmed by journalist David Lynch, who is close to Liverpool affairs, and who clarified the situation of the English midfielder during a video chat with podcaster Dave Davis of Anfieldindex.
“We have enough evidence to say that Jones is about to leave Liverpool; it will be a sale because Inter is now able to take a step forward, this is what is being reported from Italy. It really seems that the situation is destined to end this way,” Lynch stated. The journalist then added that “with Curtis and Inter the situation was already quite clear for most of the summer.”
According to Lynch, it is now just a matter of defining the timing of the deal: “Now it’s just a question of when, not if; we’re waiting for that intermediate offer to arrive and we’ll see how much it will be. But it seems it’s coming.” The journalist’s words confirm that the negotiation is now heading towards its conclusion, with the Nerazzurri ready to present the final proposal to secure the Reds’ midfielder.
The absence of Jones in Liverpool’s last match further strengthens the hypothesis of an imminent transfer. The agreement between the clubs now appears to be a formality, with the parties working to define the final financial details of the deal.
