Liverpool is not making any discounts for Curtis Jones. The midfielder remains the top target for Inter‘s midfield, but the deal remains very difficult: the English club is asking for 40 million euros and does not intend to lower the price. Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the situation on his YouTube channel.

Inter has made a new offer in recent weeks, but the English club’s position has not changed. The Nerazzurri are sticking to the proposal made about a month ago, but the gap remains wide. Two other factors further complicate the situation: Iraola, even publicly, has reiterated his desire to keep the player. In addition, according to reports, there are other clubs, not Italian, that are trying to get involved in the negotiations.

Regarding Gianluca Mancini, Romano clarified that the defender will sign the renewal in the coming days, with the approval of the ownership. There was never a real possibility that he would go to Inter, since for Gasperini he is considered untouchable and Roma would never have agreed to let him go. The extension also includes a salary adjustment.

For Jones, therefore, the situation remains stalled: either Inter gets closer to Liverpool’s asking price, or the deal will not take off.
