After the arrival of Spence from Tottenham and the transfer of Frattesi to Lazio, Inter is ready to make a move for Curtis Jones. The Nerazzurri club has managed the transfer market carefully, now allowing itself to start concrete negotiations with Liverpool for the English midfielder, who was already being followed in January.
According to Libero, the club only offers discounts for players who are not part of the technical project and who wish to leave to find more playing time. This is the case with Frattesi, who moved to Lazio on a paid loan for one million, plus 14 million for the buyout, which becomes mandatory if they finish above twelfth place, as well as 20% on any future resale.
The Nerazzurri strategy aims to lower the initial 35 million request for Jones, taking advantage of his contract expiring in 2027 and the 25-year-old’s desire to move to Milan. The operation is made possible by intelligent resource management: Provedel arrived for 3 million, Stankovic was re-signed as an investment in view of a possible departure of Calhanoglu at the end of the season (he too has a contract expiring in 2027), while the arrival of Stones and the open-mindedness regarding Pavard allowed the budget to be redirected to Spence and especially to Jones.
Despite a turnaround, a setback, and strong media pressure, Libero concludes, the club is carrying out its transfer market plan.
