The Manu Koné idea has never really faded away. Already last summer, the name of the Giallorossi midfielder ended up on the Inter table, but at that time every attempt clashed with the firm refusal of Roma, determined not to part with the player. Today, however, the scenario seems to have changed, with the Nerazzurri club possibly having an extra card to play to bring the Frenchman, who is highly appreciated by Cristian Chivu, to Milan.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter would be ready to make another attempt. The planned investment is a significant one: there is talk of a figure that could exceed 40 million, even reaching close to 50 with some bonuses. This is a clear sign of the intention to entrust Koné with a central role in a midfield destined for a major overhaul, where dynamism and physical solidity are needed.
In this possible deal, Davide Frattesi also comes into play. His stay in Milan appears increasingly uncertain, and a sale around 30 million is considered realistic. For him, a return to Rome could mean much more than just a destination: it is the city where he grew up and where he took his first steps as a footballer.
“After all, Davide has been on the verge of leaving in at least a couple of transfer windows. Already last year Roma tried to weave a deal with the Nerazzurri, but the timing wasn’t right: today, however, Inter would no longer put up barriers, also because the effectiveness of the midfielder has dropped compared to the past,” it reads.
A swap between the parties could turn into a win-win solution for everyone, with Koné ready to change shirts and Frattesi closing the circle by returning home. And the timing is no coincidence: on the horizon is Inter-Roma, a clash that could become a real transfer market appetizer,
