Giovanni Carnevali, CEO of Sassuolo, has confirmed the interest of several major clubs in Amer Muharemovic, the young Neroverdi defender who has caught the attention of Inter as they look to strengthen their defense for the future.

The statements were made to Sky Sport. “Not just him, but we also have someone else. We are receiving some requests, it’s still early and we have to see. Muharemović is showing great things and is a player with tremendous potential,” explained the executive.

There’s no point in hiding, clearly they will come, but it’s also part of our policy. We have always been a club that tries to develop young players, help them grow, and give them the chance to join a big club.”

He then continued: “This is what we work for every day. Along with Muharemović, there are a few other boys, but this only pleases us, it doesn’t worry us. If there are opportunities, I think it’s right for everyone. For the player to aspire to a big club (not because Sassuolo isn’t one), but also for our club to carry forward our values and the projects of our ownership,” concluded Carnevali, hinting at a possible openness to a potential sale.
