With Barcelona entering the negotiations, Inter is trying to speed up the process for Finn Jeltsch, the young defender from Stuttgart. The interest from the Blaugrana was reported by the newspaper Sport in its edition this morning, while according to Calciomercato.com, the Nerazzurri have been working on the German’s profile for some time.

The reason for the interest is clear: Jeltsch is highly regarded by Chivu, who appreciates his ability to play as a central defender or as a wide center-back in a three-man defense. The player combines speed and physical structure with good ball-playing skills during the build-up phase, qualities considered ideal for Inter’s style of play.

Inter’s scouts have been spotted several times at the MHP Arena, reporting positive evaluations. There have also been frequent contacts with the defender’s entourage, but it remains to be seen when the club will decide to make a concrete offer.

On the financial front, the salary is not an obstacle: Jeltsch currently earns around 1.3 million euros gross plus bonuses. The main issue remains the price set by Stuttgart, which values the player at around 40 million euros. The dialogue between the parties could be facilitated by the Champions League match scheduled for the end of November between the two clubs.
