As already reported for some time on these pages, last summer Inter, at the time of selling its jewel, secured a “buy-back clause.” In this way, the Nerazzurri management does not lose control over the player and will have the opportunity to bring him back to Milan in 2026 for 23 million euros or in 2027 for two million more.

As revealed by Tuttosport, Inter‘s idea at the moment would be to not spend the 23 million at the end of the current season. The Nerazzurri club wants to allow Stankovic to develop in the best way and possibly bring him back in 2027 when Calhanoglu’s contract will also expire and he can therefore inherit his role.
