Corriere dello Sport takes stock of Inter‘s midfield strategy. In his latest talks with management, Cristian Chivu has once again insisted on the need for a reinforcement in the midfield, considered crucial for the current season. The Romanian coach has reiterated his interest in Curtis Jones, who remains the main target for that area of the pitch.

To sign the player, developments in the outgoing transfer market will be needed to generate the necessary financial margin to make a move. In the meantime, the intention is for the midfield squad to consist of seven players.

In this context, there will be room for Aleksandar Stankovic, who has been closely monitored by the entire coaching staff during training camp. The outlook is different for other members of the squad: a new club will be sought for Asllani, Frattesi, and most likely also for Massolin.

The former Modena player has made a positive impression from a technical point of view, and the work done during training camp could help him develop further. However, to guarantee him the right continuity of playing time, the best solution might be a loan move.
