With just a few months left before the season ends and Inter still competing in all tournaments, Nerazzurri executives have already set a clear strategy regarding Simone Inzaghi‘s future. Unlike what has happened in recent years, the Inter coach will not receive an annual contract renewal.

This was reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, who revealed the new intentions of Marotta and Ausilio. Since Inzaghi took charge of Inter, the club’s directors have never started a season with the coach’s contract in its final year. This year, given the current contract lasting until June 2026, the same policy will continue but with one significant change.

Regardless of the results achieved until next July—including the conclusion of the Club World Cup—the management aims to extend Inzaghi‘s contract beyond 2026. However, unlike previous seasons, it will not be a one-year extension, but a two-year agreement through June 2028.

The Piacenza-born coach, who currently earns €6.5 million net per season, is expected to receive a new deal worth €7 million.
