The main transfer market issue that still needs to be resolved at Inter in these very last days of negotiations is certainly the one concerning Mehdi Taremi. For months now, the Iranian striker has been on his way out of the Nerazzurri club, as the management and coach Cristian Chivu have chosen to focus on other, younger forwards.
The Nerazzurri management is in a hurry to place the former Porto player at another club, mainly to get rid of his hefty wages, especially after he failed to meet all the expectations placed on him. It also seems that the deal with Olympiacos has fallen through, but there is still interest from other teams. Meanwhile, Taremi, from his Iran training camp, comments:
“I have a contract with Inter, so I could also stay. But it depends on how things develop. The relationship between us is very friendly, we have an excellent understanding with the club and we also keep in touch from a distance to figure out what the best solution is for both parties. We’ll see what happens.”
