The transfer market in the Italian league closed just a few moments ago. For Inter, it was a very lively session, both in terms of arrivals and departures, with a final twist linked to the arrival in Milan of Manuel Akanji from Manchester City, which completes the picture of the official operations of Inter this summer.
In this in-depth look, however, we will see what the official sales made by Inter were, including permanent departures, loans, and expiring contracts. All in all, the Nerazzurri club managed to achieve its goals on the eve of this summer, getting rid of surplus players who were not part of Cristian Chivu‘s new project.
The most expensive sale by far was that of Nicola Zalewski, who moved to Atalanta for 17 million euros. A good haul also came from the transfer of Aleksandar Stankovic to Bruges for 9.5 million euros and from that of Tajon Buchanan, who became a new player for Villarreal in a deal worth 9 million.
At the last minute, Inter also managed to finalize the transfer of Mehdi Taremi to Olympiacos for 2 million euros, while Asllani brought in 1.5 million for the paid loan to Torino, with the hope that the 12 million buyout will be exercised in a year. And just in the final hours of the market, 2.5 million arrived from Marseille for the loan of Pavard, plus a possible buyout at 15 million in a year.
From the buyouts of Satriano and Filip Stankovic, the Nerazzurri club also collected 5 million from the striker and 1.5 from the goalkeeper, respectively. Adding these last two operations, Inter has collected a total of 48 million euros from sales this summer.
Other outgoing operations, such as the free transfers of Arnautovic and Correa, did not bring in any concrete income, but at least resulted in significant savings in terms of salaries.
