One of the areas where Inter will have to act most urgently during the upcoming summer transfer market session is definitely the defensive department. Simone Inzaghi‘s Nerazzurri squad needs to rejuvenate in this area of the pitch, and to achieve this, some players getting older could be let go in favor of younger profiles.
Inter’s list of potential targets already includes several names for the defensive line, and one of the latest additions is Oumar Solet from Udinese who scored his first goal in Serie A just a week ago at San Siro against Sommer. However, according to Niccolò Ceccarini, Napoli have now significantly intensified their interest in the French defender.
Nevertheless, reports confirm that Inter are evaluating five other defenders: Sam Beukema of Bologna, Mario Gila of Lazio, Isak Hien from Atalanta, Koni De Winter of Genoa, and Jaka Bijol of Udinese. This shortlist comprises players already experienced in Serie A, and each will be assessed carefully in order to select the one most suitable to Inzaghi‘s needs.
