Frattesi to Lazio, negotiations open: Inter's request and the formula

The adventure of Davide Frattesi at Inter is coming to an end. The midfielder, in search of the playing time he has not found in the Nerazzurri hierarchy, has caught the attention of Lazio under Gattuso. Negotiations are open, but an agreement between the two clubs is still far off.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Biancocelesti club needs to bring the right elements to the table to convince the Nerazzurri to let the midfielder go. Only then would the pressure increase on Liverpool for Curtis Jones, a move linked to the possible sale of the former Sassuolo player.

The first contacts have paved the way for negotiations, despite the financial difficulties of the Biancocelesti club, which is bound to a zero-balance transfer market: outgoings must match incomings. Inter started with a valuation of 25 million euros for a permanent transfer. However, there is now room for a proposal of a loan with an option and obligation to buy under certain conditions, also including a high percentage on any future resale in favor of the Nerazzurri club.

Frattesi, before moving to Roma’s youth academy, actually started in Lazio’s youth system. Already in January there was talk of the Biancocelesti team, but no suitable offer arrived from Lotito. Now Gattuso’s team needs the quality that Davide can provide.

In preseason, Gattuso has set up Lazio alternating between two formations. In both, Frattesi would become a key player: in the 4-3-3 as an inside midfielder alongside Rovella and Taylor, while in the 4-2-3-1 he would be the central attacking midfielder, the lever to restart play and drive it forward. Not to mention the experience he has gained with Inter and the National Team in recent years.
