The stay of Davide Frattesi at Inter is increasingly in doubt. As written this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian midfielder is seriously considering the significant financial offer received from Galatasaray: 5 million net per season, almost double the 3 he currently earns with the Nerazzurri.
The Turkish club has overtaken Fenerbahce in the race, although no official offer has arrived yet. Inter values the player at 35 million euros, but Galatasaray would like to structure the deal differently: 5 million for a paid loan plus an option to buy at 30, with the possibility that it becomes an obligation if certain conditions are met.
The Nerazzurri’s position is clear: they aim to obtain an immediate obligation to buy or very easy conditions to trigger it. A sale at the right price would allow the club to reinvest in a midfielder with different physical characteristics, although finding suitable profiles on the market is not easy.
The funds from a possible departure of Frattesi would also be used to finance the Cancelo operation, should Barcelona confirm the decision not to sign the Portuguese player. Otherwise, with the full-back returning to the squad, one between Acerbi and de Vrij could join Simone Inzaghi‘s team.
