For several days now, the market intrigue surrounding the name of Ademola Lookman has become public knowledge. The player intends to break with Atalanta and, as announced yesterday, has even officially requested a transfer. On the other side, Inter is waiting for him, having reached an agreement for the transfer weeks ago.

In the middle, however, is Atalanta‘s desire to keep him after already selling Retegui from their attack. The Bergamo club has always been a tough negotiator in the market and, despite the explicit request from the Nigerian striker, will only let him go on their own terms. Inter is therefore waiting for a price to finally be set for his transfer, before making a new offer above 45 million.

Meanwhile, to show support for his desire to wear the Inter shirt and say goodbye to Atalanta, the Nigerian Football Federation on X has taken a clear stance, siding with Lookman: “We stand with Ademola Lookman.”
