A few hours ago, the winter transfer session officially closed, with Inter not being at the forefront. The black and blue club decided to bolster the team with a couple of exits and the inclusion of loanee Nikola Zalewski, who was decisive on his debut with the assist for de Vrij’s draw in the derby against Milan.

Despite the seeming immobility, the Inter officials have instead been working behind the scenes for the future. Not only hunting for young talents to develop with the imminent birth of Inter U23, but also in search of profiles ready for Simone Inzaghi’s style of play. An area that will see new faces next summer, for example, is the attack.

In this regard, according to information gathered by Passione Inter, a concrete lead has emerged in recent times. Indeed, Inter is seriously considering Nikola Krstovic from Lecce for next summer. With the free transfers of Correa and Arnautovic, the black and blue club’s idea is to bring a young striker, with the possibility of developing him over time.

The Montenegrin attacker has been followed by Inter for months and is climbing the hierarchy of incoming market targets. The class of 2000 is seen as a kind of ‘new Retegui‘, a pure finisher but adaptable to Inzaghi’s game, with qualities that are currently lacking in the Nerazzurri squad.

At the same time, there is also a strong interest from Inter in Santiago Castro from Bologna, who is four years younger than Krstovic. An attacker who, both in physical and technical aspects, strongly resembles Lautaro Martinez and has already reached an important market valuation.

Returning to the Montenegrin attacker, it appears that there was an attempt by Milan in the past few hours, but put off until next June. This is because Lecce has already sold a precious player like Dorgu to Manchester United and has not willingly let Krstovic leave at this stage of the season.

In addition to the Rossoneri, keep an eye on the competition from the Premier League. Lecce in recent years has developed talents of the caliber of Hjulmand and Dorgu, attracting the attention of top clubs across Europe. Krstovic could therefore become the next big capital gain for the club from Puglia, proving the extraordinary work of the technical area manager Pantaleo Corvino.

Finally, on the advanced department of Inter, there is also news about Marcus Thuram. The French attacker, in the sights of major clubs including Paris Saint Germain, could actually renew his contract with the Nerazzurri club. The parties have been discussing it for a few weeks, despite the current agreement expiring in June 2028.
