Cagliari has officially announced that Sebastiano Esposito has left the first team’s training camp in Ponte di Legno without any authorization. The forward did not provide the club with any reasons for his decision and will not travel with the team for Sunday’s friendly against Union Berlin in Germany. The Sardinian club reserves the right to take appropriate measures.
Among the possible scenarios, a transfer is emerging. Cagliari values Esposito at around 20 million euros. If the 2002-born player were to leave, Inter would also receive a share. Last summer, the Nerazzurri sold him to the Sardinians for 4 million euros, but retained 40% of any future resale.
If the departure were to materialize, Inter would secure another small sum useful for completing their incoming transfer market.
