The winter transfer window is getting closer and closer and for Inter it’s time to start considering which incoming operations to make, with a rumor emerging today regarding a purchase from the capital for the defensive line. However, for the Nerazzurri there could also be a departure, perhaps a bit of a surprise in another department.
According to today’s report from Corriere dello Sport, as of now a January farewell from Piotr Zielinski cannot be ruled out at all. The Polish midfielder is not at the center of Inter’s rotations and even with Chivu his playing time is limited. The current issue is his wages, but if a solution is found, the Nerazzurri’s number 7 could say goodbye as the newspaper explains:
“At the moment, the possibility of a separation even before next summer cannot be ruled out. The Pole has a contract expiring in 2028 at 4.5 million per season. The obstacle is obviously the salary: it will be difficult to find clubs willing to pay him the same amount, but his desire to play more could convince him to reconsider his financial expectations. In January, together with his entourage, the situation will be assessed. If the right offer comes in, he could pack his bags: his departure could then open the door for a defensive midfielder to join Chivu’s squad.”
