Inter is working to strengthen the right flank and has identified two main profiles. The first remains Anan Khalaili, but the negotiation appears to be at a standstill due to the gap between demand and offer. The Nerazzurri directors have already reached an agreement with the player, but there are still 10 million missing to convince the club that owns his contract: the asking price is 30 million, while the Nerazzurri offer stops at 20.
According to Sky Sport, the deal could only be unlocked if the selling club lowers its financial demands. In the meantime, the Inter management has already prepared an alternative plan.
The profile being followed as option B is Guéla Doué, who plays for Strasbourg and is two years older than Khalaili. The French full-back had been followed for a long time by Milan a couple of summers ago, but now he is in Inter‘s sights. The valuation of his contract is around 20 million euros, a figure more in line with what the Nerazzurri are willing to invest.
From a technical point of view, Doué is considered less offensive than Khalaili, but remains a concrete alternative should the first option not go through. The Nerazzurri management is awaiting developments in the coming weeks, with the aim of closing at least one of the two deals before the end of the transfer window.
