Several things made noise last night in the derby lost by Inter against their cousins from Milan. In particular, besides an unlucky performance by the Nerazzurri that did not bring the hoped-for result, it was the substitutions made by Cristian Chivu during the second half. The first thing that stands out is the number of substitutions, since the coach chose not to make the fifth change.
This is significant if we consider that a player like Davide Frattesi remained on the bench for the entire 90 minutes. The midfielder is not at all happy with the lack of consideration he has received in this first half of the season, and last night’s signal suggests an outcome that will lead to his transfer in the month of January.
A total rejection by Chivu also towards Luis Henrique: the Brazilian, left out from the start despite being the natural replacement for Dumfries, was even passed over in favor of Diouf. The Frenchman, who so far had collected only a handful of minutes, was deployed in a very offensive right wing position. A positive performance, moreover, but certainly not in his natural position, which says a lot about the future of the former Marseille player at Inter.
