Diouf convinces on the right wing but Inter still needs to finalize the deal for Dumfries' replacement

After the sale of Dumfries, Inter continues to look for a replacement on the right flank. In the meantime, Diouf is adapting well to that role, where Chivu considers him valuable for the team.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri summer, which will end on August 15 in Bari against Betis, has nevertheless provided positive indications to the coach. The latter has had to work without several important players: Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Akanji and Stones, as well as Sucic who left Australia to attend the birth of his child.

The transfer market difficulties, common to almost all Italian teams, have prevented the coach from adding the most urgent reinforcement on the right wing to the group. Fortunately, the gamble on Diouf, who scored two goals against Karlsruher and one against Juventus, is paying off: “I am happy with Andy, in recent weeks I have seen improvements. Let’s hope he continues like this,” said Chivu.

However, Diouf alone is not enough on the right. If Luis Henrique becomes Dimarco‘s backup on the opposite side, Carlos Augusto will be able to move permanently to the defensive line. But to complete the department, another signing is still needed.
