After returning to the field against Parma, Dimarco is already looking to the Nerazzurri’s future. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the full-back is preparing for a meeting with the club to discuss a contract extension: the current contract will be automatically renewed until 2028 through a unilateral option in favor of Inter.
However, talks with the player’s entourage have already begun with a more ambitious goal: an extension until 2030, the year the next World Cup will be held. And, according to Gazzetta, it might not even be the last agreement: Dimarco is described as a leader destined to occupy the flank for a long time to come.
The left-sided player, in the meantime, spent the international break in Milan, staying home due to a knee problem that had limited his availability. At Appiano Gentile he also worked on free kicks, an area in which he is investing part of his individual training sessions.
The goal scored from a set piece in Dortmund, in the last edition of the Champions, may not remain an isolated episode. Gazzetta recalls that Inter can count on Calhanoglu, a recognized set-piece specialist, but Dimarco’s work in that direction adds another option to the team’s repertoire.
