A department that has changed little compared to others during the last summer transfer window for Inter is the defense. The only new addition was Akanji and there are many players who are getting older and whose contracts are expiring, so they may leave at the end of the season. To replace them, the Nerazzurri management will look for other reinforcements with very specific ideas, as revealed by Niccolò Ceccarini on TMW:

“Inter is always on the move as well. The Nerazzurri are looking for a defender who, in the future, can increase the quality of the department. There are several options that Inter is evaluating. One center-back being followed is Joel Ordonez from Bruges, a profile with plenty of room for improvement. However, the search continues because, further down the line, there may be opportunities that are not yet visible at this moment.”

In addition to the young defender from Bruges, Inter is also looking at experienced profiles such as Kim from Bayern and Kiwior from Arsenal (currently on loan at Porto), as the same journalist points out: “Among the profiles not to forget is also Kiwior from Arsenal, who in the past was sought after by Napoli. Also keep an eye on Kim from Bayern Munich. For now, these are just ideas, but over time they could turn into real possibilities.”
