Stefan de Vrij leaves Inter on a free transfer and is ready to start again in Greece. An agreement is being finalized with Panathinaikos, reports journalist Fabrizio Romano, who then gives an update on Inter’s incoming targets and on his YouTube channel says: “Solet was reported as close, very close, just a step away from Inter. He wasn’t a couple of weeks ago, not because Inter didn’t want him, but because even in that case there was a substantial difference in valuation. Inter started at around 17-18 million euros, Udinese even wanted more than 25, almost 30, so there was a significant gap. The parties then got closer, let’s say about halfway, but still haven’t reached a deal. As of today, Inter’s calls to Udinese and Solet’s entourage continue, but we are still not at the closing stage for this deal.”
Romano then adds: “There was a rumor about this possibility with Atletico Madrid, I can tell you that as of today Atletico Madrid has not made contact with Udinese. Udinese at the moment has had contacts with Inter, also with other clubs, but not yet with Atletico, so we’ll see if Atletico Madrid will decide to enter the race for Solet.” In the meantime, they have signed Grimaldo, the new left-back, so they are moving.”
Finally, the journalist reports that defender Trevoh Chalobah, who had already been close to Inter, is leaving Chelsea. Como has shown interest in the class of ’99, on whom there is also interest from the Nerazzurri: he is therefore one of the players Inter is considering for the defense.
