Before leaving for Germany, Cristian Chivu held a brief meeting with the Nerazzurri management. During the meeting, the Romanian coach confirmed his appreciation for Djed Spence, a winger who represents the main target for the flank.
According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport, acquiring the player from Tottenham will require a significant investment, in the region of 15 million euros. An amount that would be similar to the Palestra operation, while still having to respect the parameters imposed by Oaktree.
Chivu has expressed interest in the versatility of the English player, who could be used on both wings. The coach’s approval remains a relevant factor in the transfer strategy, even though the deal will have to contend with the financial demands of the London club and the guidelines of the American ownership.
