In recent weeks, rumors have circulated about a possible interest from Inter in Federico Chiesa during the last transfer window. The winger’s name had already been linked to the Nerazzurri in the past as a reinforcement for the flanks and the offensive department, but the reality of the situation was quite different.

According to what was reported by Fabrizio Romano at the end of the transfer window, there was no concrete negotiation between Chiesa and Inter. There was no communication between the parties, not even in the final days of the summer window.

The possible last-minute deal was actually dependent on a departure: that of Luis Henrique. If the Brazilian had left Milan, the club would have considered bringing in a fifth striker or a winger with strong offensive characteristics to make available to Chivu. In the end, Luis Henrique stayed and so far has made 3 appearances in Serie A.
