The transfer of Trevoh Chalobah to Como is getting closer to completion. According to Sky Sport, further talks between the parties involved took place today and the deal is moving towards being finalized.
In recent days, the president of the Larian club, Suwarso, addressed the Chalobah issue and the possible competition with Inter. “It was said that we were competing with another Italian team to sign a British player. I told myself: I’ll call the president of the other team and say: ‘Do you want him? We’ll step aside. But if you sign him, give me one of your players.’ He said: ‘Thank you, I appreciate it, we’ll let you know. And if we don’t sign him, here are our other targets, we’re happy to share them with you.’”
The president’s statements suggest a climate of collaboration between the clubs, with Como now appearing to be in pole position to secure the defender.
