Inter has defined the immediate future of Valentin Carboni. The young forward, after the serious knee injury suffered last season during his experience at Marseille and the rather unlucky loan at Genoa, will start again from Argentina.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, upon his return to Milan there were several Italian options on the table. Verona, Cagliari and especially Lecce had shown interest in the player. However, the Nerazzurri club agreed to the request of the boy’s entourage, who chose to restart directly from the Argentine league.
The destination will be Racing de Avellaneda, on a loan deal. The club, fresh from a Libertadores semifinal and coming off a defeat in the final of the Clausura tournament, represents the childhood team of Lautaro Martinez. The club is currently presided over by Diego Milito, former Inter star.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals: “It seems that the treble-winning Prince had an influence on the decision of the Carboni family.” The influence of the former striker in the final choice is said to have been decisive in directing the player towards Racing, thus closing the door to Serie A suitors.
