The last summer transfer window for Inter was largely characterized by rumors about the possible departure of Hakan Calhanoglu. The Nerazzurri playmaker was for a long time a transfer target for Turkish teams, especially Galatasaray, which repeatedly tried to set up a deal with the Nerazzurri club.
However, sporting director Ausilio and president Marotta closed all doors since the Istanbul club was not willing to make a suitable offer. Calhanoglu himself has spoken again about this matter, commenting on his troubled summer full of transfer rumors from the training camp of his Turkish national team.
Here are the statements given to the microphones of Sport Mediaset by the Nerazzurri playmaker and of Turkey: “Nothing ever happened, I have always been an Inter player and I am happy to continue. I will do everything for the good of the club, I am an Inter player and nothing has changed. Things have always been the same, I will give my best.”
